Full Professor / Associate Professor / Lecturer in Electrical/Computer Engineering

Job profile:
We are looking for Candidates with academic and professional expertise in one or more of the following areas: Modeling and control of industrial processes and/or process engineering systems, PLC programming and Model-driven engineering of industrial automation software, Machine learning as a part of computational intelligence within the context of industrial automation, IIoT, Measurement and Instrumentation Systems. The applicant should be ready to familiarize himself with neighboring disciplines in the field of Automation, Control, and Robotics. In addition, the applicant should be able to teach core and major courses in the Electrical Engineering Department at the undergraduate, as well as more advanced and elective courses at the postgraduate level. The position will be equipped with a modern research and training lab.
Qualifications
• Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or Doctorate
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate their extensive industrial working experience (at least 3 years) in a related discipline: Work experience in the industrial development of different computer/mechatronic applications, with the aid of MATLAB software packages, and the use of smart sensors/robotics is also expected. Expertise in hands-on experience of developing projects in related multidisciplinary field is desirable.
• Track record of collaborative research and successful supervision
• Excellent teaching ability at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
• High capacity to develop pedagogical innovations and to manage a study program
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have a record of accomplishment in independent and applied research.
