The Faculty of Engineering invites applications for the following positions effective September 2023.
Job profile:
We are looking for highly able and motivated applicant wishing to join the Mathematics Department. Successful candidate will be expected to contribute in undergraduate and graduate teaching in international master programs, as well as in courses for programs of other departments, Research in the field of applied mathematics with emphasis on the analysis and the numeric of problems in engineering and inverse problems, Collaboration in research programs and in interdisciplinary cooperation projects and Independent teaching of courses in the field of applied mathematics, scientific computing, supervision of students and holding of exams, as well as Participating in organizational and administrative work.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold a doctorate/PhD in a mathematical branch of study, also he should have a solid knowledge of mathematical methods in engineering, inverse problems, and numerical mathematics. Applicants should have the knowledge of functional analysis, geometric measure theory, computer science aspects of scientific computing, parallel algorithms, parallel and distributed high-performance computing, development and integration of scalable simulation systems, numerical simulation techniques, simulation of stochastic systems, discrete and combinatorial methods, application of simulations in science and engineering and continuous mathematical optimization.
Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have a record of accomplishment in independent and applied research.
