The German International University (GIU) hosted the AI and Computer System Validation Forum, co-organized with the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and GAMP Middle East, marking a first-of-its-kind event in the Middle East. The forum was held on January 13, 2026, at the GIU campus, bringing together regulatory authorities, industry leaders, international experts, academics, and students.
The forum provided a strategic platform to address the latest global standards in pharmaceutical automation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), data integrity, and computerized system validation. It featured high-level participation from experts who have contributed to the development of international guidelines adopted by global regulatory bodies, highlighting Egypt’s growing role in shaping future pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
The opening session included welcoming remarks by Prof. Dr. Slim Abdelnather, President of GIU, alongside senior representatives from ISPE and GAMP. Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of GIU, emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia, industry, and regulators in advancing pharmaceutical innovation and compliance. He reaffirmed GIU’s commitment to serving as a regional hub for international pharmaceutical and regulatory events.
The forum agenda covered key topics including GAMP 5 (Second Edition), validation of GxP computerized systems, clinical systems validation, AI validation awareness, and data integrity. A high-level panel discussion brought together international experts to explore challenges and opportunities in compliance, automation, and validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
This event aligns with Egypt’s national strategy for localizing pharmaceutical manufacturing and supporting the development of the Egyptian Drug City, in line with Egypt Vision 2030. It also reflects GIU’s academic and industry-oriented mission, particularly through its pioneering Pharmaceutical Engineering Program, designed to prepare future-ready engineers capable of leading smart and compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The forum was attended by representatives from more than 50 local and international pharmaceutical companies, regulatory bodies, universities, and research institutions, with live online participation from experts across the Middle East.
Through hosting this international forum, GIU reaffirms its role as a center for excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, and industry collaboration, supporting capacity building and knowledge transfer at both national and regional levels.
استضافت الجامعة الألمانية الدولية (GIU) فعاليات ملتقى التحقق من الأنظمة الرقمية والذكاء الاصطناعي في الصناعات الدوائية، والذي نُظم بالتعاون مع الجمعية الدولية للهندسة الصيدلية (ISPE) وشعبة ممارسات التصنيع الآلي الجيد (GAMP) بالشرق الأوسط، في حدث يُعد الأول من نوعه على مستوى الشرق الأوسط. وقد أُقيم الملتقى يوم 13 يناير 2026 بمقر الجامعة. شكّل الملتقى منصة استراتيجية لمناقشة أحدث المعايير الدولية في التشغيل الآلي، والتحول الرقمي، والذكاء الاصطناعي، وسلامة البيانات، والتحقق من الأنظمة المحوسبة في قطاع الصناعات الدوائية، بمشاركة نخبة من الخبراء الدوليين الذين ساهموا في إعداد المعايير العالمية المعتمدة من الجهات التنظيمية الدولية. وشهدت الجلسة الافتتاحية كلمات ترحيبية ألقاها الأستاذ الدكتور أشرف منصور، رئيس مجلس أمناء الجامعة الألمانية الدولية، حيث أكد على أهمية التكامل بين التعليم الأكاديمي والصناعة والجهات التنظيمية لدعم مستقبل الصناعة الدوائية، مشددًا على التزام الجامعة بأن تكون مركزًا إقليميًا للفعاليات الدوائية الدولية، إلى جانب كلمات ألقاها الأستاذ الدكتور سليم عبدالناظر، رئيس الجامعة الألمانية الدولية، وممثلين بارزين عن ISPE وGAMP. وتضمن برنامج الملتقى مناقشة موضوعات محورية، من بينها GAMP 5 – الإصدار الثاني، والتحقق من أنظمة GxP، والتحقق من الأنظمة الإكلينيكية، والوعي بالتحقق من تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي، إلى جانب سلامة البيانات. كما عُقدت جلسة نقاشية موسعة بمشاركة خبراء دوليين حول التحديات والفرص في مجالات الامتثال والتشغيل الآلي والتحقق. ويأتي تنظيم هذا الحدث في إطار دعم رؤية مصر 2030 وخطط توطين صناعة الدواء وتطوير مدينة الدواء المصرية، كما يعكس الدور الأكاديمي والبحثي للجامعة الألمانية الدولية، لا سيما من خلال برنامج الهندسة الصيدلية الذي يُعد الأول من نوعه في مصر. وشهد الملتقى مشاركة ممثلين عن أكثر من 50 شركة ومصنع دواء محلي ودولي، إلى جانب ممثلين عن الجهات الرقابية والجامعات، مع بث مباشر للفعاليات لمتخصصين من عدة دول في الشرق الأوسط. وتؤكد الجامعة الألمانية الدولية من خلال استضافة هذا الملتقى مكانتها كمركز رائد للتميز في التعليم الصيدلي، والبحث العلمي، والتعاون الصناعي على المستويين المحلي والإقليمي.
