Technical University of Munich (TUM) is ranked as one of Europe’s most outstanding universities in research and innovation. The university also has a distinctive character, which is it being an Entrepreneurial University.
The GIU is currently hosting the JASS workshop in cooperation with the Software Engineering group of Technical University of Munich (TUM). Headed by Prof. Dr. Bernd Brügge and Prof. Dr. Stephan Krusche, a group of 10 TUM students are currently visiting the GIU campus and working with 10 GIU students from the Faculty of Informatics & Computer Science and the Faculty of Engineering. The cross-teams are working on automating the navigation of bots in a roundabout scenario employing their strong research and technical foundations.
The project discussed the ongoing problems of roundabouts. The solution that the exceptional team is trying to implement is geofencing. This solution strives to achieve the more autonomous aspect of human driven cars.
This is a very exceptional event because it solidifies the partnership between the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the GIU.
