The Fashion and Jewelry Design major covers various design topics such from ready to wear/ prêt-à-porter to couture or work wear. It focuses on hands-on methods such as illustration, pattern making, textile design, fashion marketing, jewelry design, and design for manufacturing. Students will have a deep dive in design history, local and global fashion trends, sustainability, and digital integration of creating. Graduates of this program will have professional skills to create marketable fashion and jewelry designs for small and mid-sized enterprises up to corporate scale, as well as the ability to communicate their designs effectively mixing state-of-the art technologies and traditional techniques.
