Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, has officially inaugurated the German International University (GIU) in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt. This significant event marks President Steinmeier's first visit since the university's establishment and highlights the robust educational partnership between Germany and Egypt.

A second agreement to establish the German International University (GIU) in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital was also signed between Egyptian Higher Education Minister Prof Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and representatives of the consortium of the ten largest German applied sciences’ universities.

The Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research H.E. Prof Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and the German Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy H.E. Mr. Peter Altmaier will lay the foundation stone of the German International University (GIU) together with the founding German universities presidents.
